Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 6 oz ground venison
  • 2 tbsp fig jam
  • 1 egg, beaten

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 12 squares.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground venison over medium heat.
  4. Place a cube of brie and a teaspoon of venison in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Add a small dollop of fig jam.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
